Dear bunnies,
Every afternoon, mostly around five, I stand on my front terrace. I love it here. The big mango tree is full of thick, healthy leaves. The blue sky opens up wide above it. And I watch the sun set.
I don’t know why this place gives me so much comfort. Every time I spend time here, my head feels at peace. I can think. For some reason, I feel so calm, as if I already know what will happen tomorrow. And each time I look up at that wide blue sky, I feel serenity.
Then the birds fly in front of me, and I see freedom.
Yes. That is what I feel whenever I sit here. Freedom.
I feel free from the fear of what my future will look like. I feel free from the fear that I won’t receive the things I prayed for.
Here, I am free to write the story I create in my head, the one that makes me smile. I am free to believe the possibilities the Lord told me about before. Even the things that look so impossible in my eyes can happen, one hundred percent. With Him, nothing is impossible.
I am free to embrace my faith and let it grow. I am free to fix my eyes on the things I prayed for, because I believe in those prayers.
And I am free to hold on and hope because nothing in this life is certain except death. Death is more certain than my marriage. So I hold on, and I hope.
I wanted to end this letter with one thought. I think freedom like this is its own kind of love. It lets go of fear, and it holds on to hope.
But I am so mixed up right now. I don’t even know if what I write makes sense.
So before I let this letter go, there’s one more thing. I love it here on my terrace, with the greens and the blue sky, because someone’s name comes to my mind. And it makes me believe in Jesus even more. I can hope for everything I prayed for. I can trust Him with each one, one hundred percent.
One day I will cry with the warmest smile on my face, and I will thank Him. Because He made it happen.
